The cables wouldn't be able to handle even one more space apart than my cards are.Ĭons: The price is pretty high. Even with that and the fact that my ASUS P5Q Deluxe board has a fair amount of space between the cards the cable connects with no problems on length whatsoever, it's really close though.

I have two XFX HD4850 cards and they are a double slot type card. I just got these in and am happy to say everything is working great. Pros: The fact that they even sell these is a big enough plus! My video cards AND motherboard came with no Crossfire cabling whatsoever and made no mention of that fact on any of their boxes. No jumper settings, no awkward tweaking - just put the cable(s) on, boot it up and Catalyst will activate Crossfire by default - very touch-and-go.

If you're mobo is anything like mine, this cable's just right for you.Īnother thought, for those who are new to CrossfireX like I was - it's plug-and-play - the Catalyst drivers do the rest. Overall Review: The mobo I have is the ASUS M4A79XTD EVO, and you can see the gap in between the two PCI-E x16's - and again, the cable bows to make up for its length. Now I have to figure out what to do with 2 extra-long crossfire cables that I don't need.Ĭons: For one cable, when I purchased it, it was $10.99 + $5.99 shipping - for one cable, that's very expensive - but Newegg is STILL cheaper than its retail competitors. Otherwise, it does exactly as expected and flawlessly. But to my absolute surprise, the cable was not only long enough but I had to let it BOW in the center to fit to the cards - plenty long enough. Pros: At first, after reading many of the reviews, I was highly skeptical that this particular 60mm cable would not reach as I needed since my mobo has 2 PCI-E x1's in between the video cards - so much that I actually went and purchased 2 73mm cables just in case.
